Zesty Take on a Bath

Feeling a bit blue this Wednesday morning? Here is something that might just make this hump day more bearable. Tonight, after you finish work, stop by a shop and pick up a few zesty grapefruits, lemons and oranges. Slice them, and make an evening bath of them. I did exactly that last night and boy oh boy, what a treat it was! Psst: I added some dried lavender as well, but I bet that a few fresh eucalyptus leaves would be perfect too!

P.S: Remember this?
P.P.S: A super snazzy GIVEAWAY Wednesday is coming up later today!

What Women Do When No One Is Watching

Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Totally awesome!

A little under two years ago, Sally Nixon started a project called '365' where she challenged herself to create an illustration a day for a whole year. The inspiration was her own life and all the simple routines that she and many of us go through daily.

The aim of this rather adorable project is to show the natural side of women and prove that nowadays filtered and staged womanhood is not real or true. So the whole project is based on women doing their everyday things like eating in bed, passing out on a sofa after a long day or brushing their teeth in the shower to save time.

Basically, it’s an ode to us girls and all little things we do when when nobody’s watching. Lovely, isn't it?

P.S: GAL!
P.P.S: Women + food.

Go-To Snack

What have you been snacking on lately?

Me? Well, for the past couple of weeks, I’ve been making those dark chocolate dipped mango bites on repeat, with no guilt what-so-ever:) They take about 20 minutes to whip up, they are healthy, since mango and black chocolate is good for you and they are really (really) good!

Try them, here is the full recipe...

P.P.S: Also, yogurt cherries.

Spring Trend: Kitten Heels.

Speaking of shoes, if you're not into the tomboyish sneaker-look, you should totally invest in a pair of sassy kitten heels instead! According to Vogue, they are the comfiest heels around that also look incredibly stylish with pretty much everything. Personally I love them with a simple pair of jeans and a crisp shirt.

Thumbs up or down?

P.S: Swoon!
P.P.S: City backpacking.

Springtime

Happy springtime everyone!

I know that we still have a ways to go before we get some proper spring weather, but boy, oh boy, it’s good to feel the shift in the air, isn’t it? So in the spirit of a brand new season, here are a few tiny things I’m looking forward to do in the next few months:

Wearing bits of pink with my go-to stripes, eating asparagus on repeat, indulging in grounding, making this cake tonight, chasing sunlight shadows around the flat, drinking rosé on the balcony, taking sunset walks, remaking this lilac body oil and filling our home with every single spring bloom around:)

Your turn...

P.S: Also, how to dress like a true Parisian this spring.
P.P.S: And, spring reboot.

Almond Milk, Reinvented

Although many of us buy almond milk religiously, the honest truth is even the fanciest brands don’t taste great, do they? And if you take on the challenge to make your own, you'll quickly realize how fussy and time taking it is with all that soaking and straining.

Well, here is an instant almond milk trick that will change your life:

Simply blend 3 tablespoons of organic (or homemade) almond butter with 1 ½ cups of water, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons maple syrup, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Not only you’ll save time and money, but this version also tastes delicious - so much richer, creamier and something that you'll actually want to sip. Love!

P.S: Have you tried this rose milk tea yet?
P.P.S: So good:)

Beauty Tweak: Perfume Oils

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Do you wear perfume?

I’ve never been huge on perfume. I often found their scent somewhat overwhelming and tiring, so I usually opted for placing a bit of lavender or sage essential oil beneath my earlobe for a hint of pleasant and calming everyday fragrance.

Having said that, a couple of months ago I received a perfume oil as a gift and it changed everything. Those little bottles of goodness contain the most beautiful and subtle scent that makes you feel comfortable in your own skin, no matter what. So, if you're looking for a scent game-changer, here are a few that might just do the trick:

From the top: 1. James by Rosie Jane - 2. Vata Balancing by YOKE - 3. Kai Fragrance - 4. 11 11 by Lake and Skye - 5. TRN V4 by Lurk - 6. Positano by La Bella Figura - 7. Bergamote 22 by Le Labo - 8.Swan M17 by Valchemy Lab 9. Maine by MCMC Fragrances.

Any favourites?

P.S: Nifty little perfume trick.
P.P.S: Your own scent.
